This culminated in the award of formal certification against Quality Management Standard BS EN ISO 9001 in April 1993, by the British Standards Institute, for our design and manufacturing activities. The latest upgrade to the standard was awarded in September 2017 against the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2015.
As our ability to provide software for integrated monitoring and control applications became a core business activity, the Quality Management system was enhanced. This was formally recognised in August 1993 when Blackburn Starling was awarded another Quality Management Certificate against the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 TickIT. This is a specialist certification scheme specifically covering the development, supply and maintenance of software. The latest award against the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2008 TickIT Plus ensures compliance to the most recent rigorous requirements.
